Show Tech Pro Wide Stainless Steel Snap-on-Comb
These extra-wide, stainless-steel snap-on combs for the Show Tech wide clipper blade #30 help you work faster and achieve a smooth, even finish on all coat types.
Using the snap-on combs can save you a significant amount of time and allow you to work much more efficiently. With these combs, you can clip faster and achieve more consistent results compared to using traditional methods like scissors alone. The combs let you experiment with different lengths to create the exact style you want, making your grooming process easier and quicker.
Additionally, the snap-on combs are gentler on your fingers and wrists, reducing the physical strain of grooming. They're especially helpful for less experienced groomers, allowing them to apply the right length super-fast without the risk of cutting the coat too short. With the various comb sizes, you can quickly style the entire coat, then finish with a comb and scissors as needed.
These combs are available in eight sizes, from 10 to 38 mm, and are designed to be used with a #30 wide blade. This combination helps prevent damage to the blade while ensuring a smooth, polished finish. Using a #10 or longer blade may not provide the same level of precision and smoothness.
Always use the snap-on combs on well-washed, blow-dried and brushed coats. They can be used on any curly coat (such as a Poodle, Bichon Frise) or silk coat (Maltese, Shih Tzu, York Terrier) and when speed and commercial efficiency are your priorities.
Choose your desired length of snap-on comb and using gentle strokes, style the coat in either the direction of the coat growth or against it. Comb the coat, repeat this process, then comb again and scissor the coat for a perfect finish.
The combs can be used with or against the coat growth depending of the coat type. You can achieve an excellent and sometimes even better finish clipping against the coat growth. Keep in mind that clipping in the opposite direction of the coat growth can result in a shorter finish, so start with using a slightly longer snap-on comb.
Caution: Never use a size 40 or 50 blade on these snap-on combs. These types of blades are narrower, causing the teeth from the comb to get stuck in the blade and thus breaking the teeth of your blade.
